Twitter   Printer friendly page

There is no argument – Twitter is a phenomenon.

And there a number of ways in which you can incorporate Twitter into your web site, depending on what you are trying to achieve.

Generate Followers

You can add a button to your web page, encouraging others to follow your Twitter messages – 'Tweets'. If you click on the icon the left, you will see this does exactly that. Once you have 'followers', all your Tweets will automatically be received by them.

Enable Others to Tweet Your Content

Again this couldn't be simpler. From your Twitter account you can generate the code to generate a 'Tweet button' on your page that, when clicked, will enable web site visitors to Tweet a link to your content with a suggested message.

Click the button on the right to see how. (The visitor will obviously need to be logged into their Twitter account to Tweet the link and message)

Include a Twitter Feed on Your Web Site

How about including a real-time Twitter feed on your web site? No problem – all you need to decide is what you want the content of the Twitter feed to be. It could a particular subject – for example, all Tweets containing references to your subject area or product or service…

More common, perhaps, is a feed of the latest Tweets of the webmaster or web site owner.

You can see on the left what we've been saying recently…

There are plug-ins that can help you integrate Twitter into your WordPress web site or blog but Twitter provide you with all the tools you'll really need from within your Twitter account – and you don't need to be a web wizard to understand and use them.

But if you do need a hand in effectively using Twitter as part of your web project, please get in touch via our contact form or, perhaps, more appropriately send us a message via Twitter!
